In Connected Planning: How Do We Get There?, Impetus’ Wendy Wen and Stephanie Kim introduce ways to maximize your Anaplan investment through Connected Planning. As part of the Connected Planning experience, a Center of Excellence can be formed with pillars focused on Enablement, Governance, and Expansion, all essential elements to maintaining a thriving Anaplan environment.
In this edition, let’s start with some tactical tools that will strengthen the pillar of Governance. Wendy and Stephanie authored How to Effectively Manage Request from End Users, which focuses on what happens after end users have been interacting and planning in their Anaplan Model(s). How do you ensure your end users are still engaged and happy? How do you keep your model healthy and up-to-date? Share what has worked with your team and let us know what you think in the comments.
More to come in this blog series as we tackle the other two pillars of Enablement and Expansion within a Center of Excellence.
Impetus’ Kevin Jacokes is a featured contributor to Anaplan Community this month, sharing his insights on how commercial business leaders in the pharma/biopharma industry are using the Anaplan platform to solve for three key challenges:
Challenge 1: Where should I invest my next dollar of commercial spend?
Challenge 2: How can I maximize the interactions our field reps have with prescribers?
Challenge 3: We are making decisions based on stale, incomplete, and misaligned data. How can I speed up our team’s information access and turnaround time?
Join Impetus Experts for “Zoom a Friend” Level 2 and Deep Dive Office Hours
For July, Impetus is bringing back our Anaplan “Zoom a Friend” office hours series from April and May. Learners of all levels are welcome! From hosting past office hours, we discovered that bringing together Anaplan learners from different backgrounds and achieving a-ha moments together is an incredibly valuable and rewarding experience for all.
Level 1 Certification
For learners new to Anaplan, begin by completing Anaplan’s Level 1 Model Building training. The online version of this course will take about 25-30 hours to complete. For independent learners, check out the Anaplan Independent Learner Free 90-Day Trial here.
Level 2 Certification
The next step in your learning journey is Anaplan’s Level 2 Model Building. This course is available on-demand from Anaplan and takes approximately 30-40 hours to complete. The training program includes over 40 micro-lessons (5-10 minutes in length).
To assist you with this effort, Impetus is making its Solution Architects and Master Anaplanners available for free office hours via Zoom. Based on feedback from previous office hours sessions, we have pre-selected a few topics to discuss in more detail (booleans, dynamic cell access, etc.), but we will continue to prioritize questions from the group during the sessions.

“Zoom a Friend” Office Hours: Anaplan Level 2 Certification
How can you combine the “art” of selling with the “science” of data and technology?
Most organizations tend to focus on revenue growth when managing their sales plans (setting quotas, measuring performance, etc.). However, not all revenue is created equal. Only through insights into where profit is won and lost can sales teams create maximum value for the organization. Join Impetus’ Jon Newcomb and Wendy Wen as they explain how you can leverage Anaplan to more effectively connect the offices of sales and finance by using financial metrics to support a more thoughtful sales planning process.
