This week, Stephanie Kim, Talent Development Manager at Impetus Consulting Group, was the instructor for Anaplan’s Level 1 Model Building class in New York City. These instructor-led sessions are offered through Anaplan Academy. Impetus is excited to partner with Anaplan on this endeavor as both organizations are committed to increasing the number of Anaplanners around the globe. Impetus believes that leading with enablement is the key to Anaplan implementation success.
When thinking about Anaplan’s implementation framework (The Anaplan Way), we have found that sponsors and project teams who allocate time to enablement during the foundation phase of an implementation create a lasting culture of conversation that persists long after the deployment of their first Anaplan model.
Join Anaplan and Impetus at GTN 2019 November 12 –14, 2019 at the Hilton at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia, PA. This event is CBI’s longstanding Gross-to-Net (GTN) Summit, built for biotech, pharma and generic drug companies of all sizes and stages.
As the materiality and complexity of GTN within the life sciences sector continues to swell, proactive and strategic management of GTN is critical. While attending, visit the Solution Summit on November 13th at 4:15pm, and meet with Impetus Master Anaplanners Kevin Jacokes and Walker Smythe as they demonstrate how Anaplan’s connected planning platform can help solve for this complexity.
CBI, an Informa business, is the health and life sciences industry leader in providing thought leadership, actionable data, bench-marking, case studies and regulatory information through a dynamic conference platform that facilitates innovation, collaboration and elevation across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and healthcare industries.
Join Anaplan and Impetus on November 12th for the Spotlight on Connected Planning Event at Chicago’s Field Museum. This event will feature a tour of the museum as well as a panel discussion on the state of Connected Planning, a Customer Panel and a Networking Reception.
Prior to the Connected Planning Event Anaplan and Impetus are providing a morning of FREE enablement. At the Anaplan Model Builder Training Session, attendees will participate in hands-on exercises in the classic and new UX, model building with exposure to the formula writing framework and model best practices, and how to set up the foundations for Anaplan growth.
Please note there are separate registrations for the morning training session and event at the Field Museum. Attendance to both events is limited so please be sure to register as soon as possible.
Impetus Welcomes its Newest Team Members and Celebrates its Anniversary.
This is a very exciting week at Impetus Consulting Group. First and foremost, we are thrilled to welcome eleven new employees to our team, including the members of our first-ever college recruiting class. The size of the class is a testament to the power of our internal Anaplan Enablement program as well as to the strength of the culture we’ve built.
This week we also celebrate five years in business. Impetus
was founded with the idea that there was a better way to do consulting; that we
could be a force for change in the lives our employees, our clients and our
partners. We believe in the value and sustainability of our collaborations and
relationships built inside and outside of the organization. Five years in, that
founding principle still guides our behavior and our decisions.
At Impetus, we believe the overall success of the company is
driven by its people. We have been fortunate to assemble, enable, and grow a
team of deeply curious, talented, and passionate people committed to the
success of our clients and each other. Together, we relish the opportunity to
support our clients to define and build the future narrative of business.
2019 has been a banner year for Impetus. With this latest
hiring class, we’ve surpassed forty total employees. We recently engaged our
fiftieth unique client. Earlier this year we were named a “Small Jewel” by
consulting Magazine; a rewarding validation that our approach to building a
firm through trust and credibility resonates with others in the space.
We look forward to continued growth of our people and
expertise and driving success for our clients and partners.

Impetus Consulting Group, a leading Anaplan consultancy firm, is honored to have been selected as one of Seven Small Jewels in Consulting Magazine’s February/March 2019 issue. Each year Consulting Magazine shines a light on smaller firms that are shaking up the profession from the bottom up. The publication’s recognition of “hidden gems” within the consulting industry places Impetus within an elite group of organizations.
“This recognition is a testament to the efforts of our team” says Alex Cohen, President and Founder of Impetus. “This award also provides validation of our approach to doing business. We are committed to establishing trust and credibility with our clients by being curious, pragmatic and delivering excellence.”
All members of the Impetus ecosystem- our clients, our team, and our partners – are mutually driven by a desire to experiment and invent by designing modeling platforms that operationalize improved processes, and free up valuable human capital to focus on enlightened decision-making. They are each trusting, generous and thoughtful advocates for the power of collaborative modeling and sharing knowledge.
Who We Are:
At Impetus Consulting Group we are invested in the long-term sustainability of the product of our collaboration and client achievement. We are convinced that the best solution is the one that allows you to focus on the things that bring the most value to your professional life.
Have you already successfully completed Launchpad Training, Anaplan 102, or Anaplan 201? Then you’ve already learned what Anaplan is and how to model build within the platform.
To continue your ascent to Anaplan-actualization, the next step is to understand the WHYS behind using certain formulas (LOOKUPS vs. SUMS) and WHEN to deploy these tools and techniques. But where can you find this knowledge? Please visit our Enablement page for more information about Impetus’ 5-day immersion training program, designed to help you achieve professional fluency in Anaplan.
Thank you to Impetus’ own Matthew Daniel, Stephanie Kim, and Wendy Wen for collaborating to create this unique training curriculum.
